Anamorphic lenses are becoming more common every day in all kinds of shows, and with them come various lens aberrations, each one beautiful in its own way, but sometimes difficult to match.

Among these aberrations are Astigmatism and Coma. Astigmatism produces a blurry effect around the edges of the image due to the offset of light rays "arriving" at different focal planes. A similar phenomenon occurs with the Coma effect, but visually, they are quite different. Here are some examples of both effects:

And to help you replicate those effects in a quick and easy way, I've created two tools (well, actually three): Anamorphic-Astigmatism, and Coma. We have been using them in production with lovely results.

There are two versions of Anamorphic-Astigmatism: the regular one and the Ch (chroma or chromatic) version, which allows you to distort each channel independently.

The have been tested inside Windows with Nuke 11.3 and 12.1. They worked fine inside the farm (windows, again). Coma and Astigmatism works on my computer using Nuke 15.1, AstigmatismCh is a bit funky in nuke15.1, I will try to make an update.
